My name is Alexandria Theresa Brown or simply Theresa and this is the beginning of my journey in fashion. I tied the knot at the young age of 20. It sure was not easy but I just knew I found The One. My family now consists of Twenty, a cat who acts more like a dog each day, Anastasia, my active 6-year-old daughter, my baby boy, and my husband who balances my life.

LL Cool J said, “I think when you move past your fear and you go after your dreams wholeheartedly, you become free.” People, with dreams of becoming a doctor, a singer or even an actor, sometimes do not go after their dreams because of their fear of failure. In order to accomplish what our heart desires, to become successful, we must sometimes fall on our faces and overcome our fears. I always had an interest in fashion but never pursued it, instead I attended TCI College for a degree in Paralegal studies.

In my last semester, I became pregnant and I decided to follow my dream in fashion. Imagine of all the studying to just walk away from it all, it was the hardest decision I had to make. The problem was I felt trapped when I was not doing what I loved. The decision in beginning my journey was the greatest feeling I’ve experienced and I want my child to feel it is okay to follow her dreams too. The mistakes of the past do no define who you are as a person, it just makes you better. Do not be scared to follow your dreams, when you let go of the fear, you will be free in your heart and mind.
